Snowdens’ Showcase At The Royal Show

Agricultural shows can sometimes conjure up an image of muddy fields, Wellington boots and endless cows, pigs and sheep.     The reality couldn’t be different.     These days the Shows are prestigious, high profile events attended regularly by royalty, MPs, celebrities and the media, together with families, farmers, horse lovers, shoppers, corporate businesses and anyone looking for a fabulous summers day out. 

This is a sector where Snowdens are unquestionably market leader.   With their massive product line up and stock levels, they are equipped to supply some of the largest shows and festivals in the country.       The Royal Show is the highlight of the Show season and an event Snowdens have been working on since 1999.

As Europe’s premier exhibition of farming food and the countryside, the ‘Royal’ runs for four days and opens a window on the countryside, enabling visitors to see the country’s finest display of livestock, country shopping and agricultural business.

Snowdens are one of the main suppliers for the Show and currently in the second year of a three-year contract.     The 2005 Show saw the company provide a remarkable twenty-four structures, marquees and ancillary equipment required for sheep buildings, judges catering, restaurants, bars, membership tents, cloakrooms, game conservancy, disabled areas, tractor village, and many different exhibition areas

Such a large and varied remit enabled Snowdens to demonstrate, once again, their prominence within the world of shows and festivals.   

SNOWDENS Make Temporary Cover A Permanent Feature

Peterborough based GL events Snowdens, are pleased to announce the provision of temporary storage structures and warehousing addition to their products and services has proved to be highly successful over the previous 12 months.

The division have built up an excellent client base and just 12 months after it’s official launch, Snowdens are witnessing 80% of clients re-hiring their products to help them cover the festive period.

As Keith Bishop, Director and General Manager of the company explained, “The structures are available for sale or hire, with no minimum hire period and come in a variety of lengths and widths with side heights of 2.4, 3 and 5 metres. This flexibility will enable us to satisfy a diverse range of customers and applications. We have, for example, already successfully provided temporary facilities for Thorpe Park as workshop cover for maintenance repairs during the winter shutdown, and Geest UK are using us again this year to help with extra storage to cope with high seasonal demand and as a temporary showroom for a local caravan dealership.
